Friars Loss at Marquette Ends BE Season

The Friars Big East Regular season came to an end Saturday in Milwaukee. The loss dropped Tim Welsh to 94-83 in Big East Play and marked his 4th losing season out of 8. While Tim has done a decent job coaching the current batch of Sophomores and Freshman, Friar fans must be wondering about the future of their storied program. Baring a miracle finish to the end of the remaining Big East schedule we will be singing off until next year.

I have one question. Do you feel Tim Welch deserves any more chances. This team is far too talented to go 1 and done in every tourney they appear in. The '06 - '07 Friars clearly had the talent to make it to the big dance and shake things up. They lack fundamentals and a coach. Too many turnovers, no defense and a few under achievers... All problems the right coach can cure. Coach Welch has certainly had more than enough time to do so.

Hello there,
I am Peter Robert Casey and I am a basketball columnist. I have initiated an idea to create a sports blogroll where bloggers from all sports disciplines could participate. All you need to do is to add my blog link to your blog and i'll do the same. That way, we could have a mutual partnership and we could refer visitors to each other's blog.
Please let me know if you would be interested.

Your's in Hoops,
Peter Robert Casey
